25 years ago Metallica was in tour promoting their 3rd album - Master of Puppets. They were complaining that sleepning places were uncomfortable, so Cliif Burton and Kirk Hammett played cards and the winner received the best place. September 27th Around 7 a.m. a bus with band on board slipped off the road (the E4, 2 miles north of Ljungby), and flipped onto the grass in Ljungby Municipality, near Dörarp in rural southern Sweden. Cliff was thrown through the window of the bus, which fell on top of him. They tried to save him and managed to lift the bus up a little, but before they could retrieve him, the weight of the bus became too much the bus slipped off the crane and landed on the ground again.
Burton was known for his lead bass role and bass solos which catched Metallica's attention, so they desperatly wanted him in group, which he joined in 1982, when Dave Mustaine was still in it.
Metallica in its history got 3 amazing bassists, but Cliff was the legend without doubt. Hw qas this good, that bad moved almost 700 km from Los Angeles to San Francisco just to got him in band (for me it would be like moving from one side of country to another)

Second is Megadeth's In My Darkest Hour (their best song in my own personal opinion). Song that Dave Mustaine wrote after hearing about bassist's death. Even if the song isn't about Cliff himself you can hear emotions in it.
About drawing itself:
it took me over a week to draw it. it is drawn by one HB mechanical pencil. Format is A4. Originaly it's not in this hue, but greyscale doesn't fit it.

Another great man, Mr Clifford Burton..I miss him so much..he was one of the best bassists ever existed...and I'm in love with this drawing..ops I wanted to say with ALL your drawings!!! Great man in a great band!
